How to Cleanse a Candle

We Cleanse Candles to remove any and all energies that were infused into the candle during the manufacturing process. You will have to cleanse all candles unless you have made the candle yourself with a specific purpose or spell in mind.

Saturate a tissue or cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and cleanse it's surface, moving from bottom to top. This is how the energy from the candle is expelled.

 

How to Consecrate the Candle

We consecrate a candle to dedicate it to our purpose. There are several methods on how to consecrate a candle. You can chose either one of the methods or all of them.

 

1. Engrave the Candle

Take a toothpick (or athame if you have one) and crave the appropriate symbol into it. If your goal is romance engrave a heart into the side of the candle. If your goal is money, a dollar sign would work. You may also chose runes, element signs, astrological signs or a personal sign that represents you or your lover.

While you engrave the candle you have to think intensely about your wishes and goals and speak them out. To repeat verbal formulas in the form of incantations or affirmations is highly recommended.

 

2. Oil the Candle

If you can't find the oil mentioned below use either Rose Oil or Lavender Oil. Either one can be used for all love spells listed on my site.

You Consecrate the Candle by dipping your fingers into the oil and anoint the entire surface of the candle with it. For all spells (except the Break-up Spell) oil the candle from top to bottom. For the Break-Up Spell you oil the candle from bottom to top. We always oil candles from top to bottom to attract good or to get something good and oil the candle from bottom to top to expel something.

3. Spray or Sprinkle the Candle with Holy Water

(read below to find instructions on how to create your own holy spell water)

Fill the water in a plant mister and then spray the entire surface of the candle. While you are doing it focus on your wishes and goals and also repeat your affirmations and incantations.

If you do not have a plant mister at hand just sprinkle the candle with water drops. Simply dip your fingers in the water and anoint the candle.

 

How to Make Holy Water or Spell Water

You will need 3 pinches of Sea Salt and mix it with 1 cup of water. You may also add a drop of the oil that you are using to consecrate the candle.
